Balance Bike

For little kiddies who are just discovering the joy of riding a bike, it is important that they use balance bikes.
A balance bike is sometimes referred to as a run bike. This is a training bicycle which helps children learn and balance and steering. This bicycle has no pedals, no training wheels and no crank set and chain. It can be a normal bike with pedals and related parts removed. It can also be purpose built for little children. It can be without a break or it can have one or two hand-activated brakes. Balance bikes are as popular as the Schwinn Airdyne, maybe even more.
For little girls and little boys, they need training fist before they can get on little ladies bicycle and little boys bicycle. They need to learn first before they can join BMX games.
History of the Balance Bike
The predecessor of this kind of bike is the velocipede. This was invented by Karl Drais and this is the earliest from of the two-wheeler without pedals. Drais was a German inventor and he invented the “running machine” which is also called the velocipede. This incorporated the two-wheeler principle that is basic to the bicycle and motorcycle and it marked the beginning of mechanized personal transport. More recently, the wooden balance bikes and metal balance bikes have undergone a renaissance with the introduction of the Like a Bike, which is a German product.
Advantages of Using a Balance Bike
This kind of bike has many purposes. Everyone who knows how to ride knows that the most difficult part of learning how to ride a bicycle is learning how to balance and for a small child, mastering the art of pedaling and balancing at the same time can be very frustrating. This is where the balance buddy bike comes in.

· Start children young. Most bikes are aimed at children from around 2 years old plus. Some are even aimed at children as young as 18 months. Make sure that the seat is low enough for a youngster to be able to reach the ground with their feet.
· Gives confidence. Kids will not be scared of falling because they can keep their feet in contact with the ground.
· Makes children independent. Children will become independent because they can drive around without the aid of bothersome stabilizers. They won’t feel awkward and unsteady. You’ll even notice the kids learning surprisingly fast. Your children will be able to go with you for a quick dash to the store.
· Ensures safety. Stopping a balance bike is very easy. Kids can just drag their feet to slow themselves down and come to a quick and easy stop. Every child is in control. The saddle is set low so that the rider can easily reach the floor with his feet in an almost crouching position.
· Encourages exercise. Riding a balance bike will give children a good workout. They will be able to burn off some calories and extra energy.
· Develops natural balance. It is natural for children to want things their friends have. So do not worry if your child wants a strider balance bike just like his or her friend. He or she will get a lot of benefits from it. Transitioning to a regular bike will be a lot easier. You will see that there will be no need for stabilizers or training wheels anymore because their balance will be developed.
