The company I work for, a flower delivery business is the type of operation wherein the owners secure all of their assets. For instance, all the vehicles that we use have company van insurance to protect each and every one of them from unfortunate circumstances such as breakdowns and accidents. In my line of work, I have to drive one of the vans around all day every single day of the working week. Though I may be a great driver, unforeseen incidents may occur on the road regardless if I play it safe. A lot of things can happen on the road any given time of the day. If in the event an accident happens, the insurance company will cover the repair of the damage that has been done to the vehicle. This is a great advantage not only for the business owners, but for drivers like me as well. We are actually a few of the lucky ones, as not all businesses know of the convenience of having their own company van insurance.
It is actually quite easy to get company van insurance, as there are literally hundreds of providers you can choose from. In my employer’s case, he first searched for a van insurance quote online to compare prices. He informed us of this step so that we know in the future how to properly go about acquiring an insurance plan for vehicles, whether for private or commercial use. His point was, since there are lots of insurance companies you never can tell if all are just the same or some are actually better than the others.
One of the things he pointed out by using a company van insurance comparison site is that there are cheaper options available. One does not necessarily have to put up with expensive van insurance premiums just to have some coverage. He gets the same type of service for a much more affordable cost, all because he knew where to look for it. All the vans in our garage has the same type of company van insurance plan and they even offer assistance such as towing services in the event of a breakdown.

Thousands of cyclists are injured on Britain’s roads every year. If you’re been involved in a road traffic accident, then you may be able to claim compensation. Your chances of a successful claim will depend upon the specific circumstances involved.
Poor Road Surfaces
One of the biggest causes of accidents involving cyclists is the presence of potholes and other defects on poorly maintained roads. Maintaining Britain’s roads is the responsibility of the local council. If they’ve not done their work to a reasonable standard and you’ve been injured as a result, then you may be able to seek compensation. If you believe that the local authority is at fault, then your best course of action is to photograph the location where the incident happened. If possible, you should also measure the width and depth of any hole in the road. Having this evidence to hand will put you in a strong position to make a successful claim.
Accidents Involving Cars
Other vehicles often present the greatest danger to cyclists. One of the real concerns here is that collisions with cars, buses and trucks will often lead to severe injuries. These are the accidents that most cyclists really dread. If you are involved in such a road traffic accident, then you may be able to make a claim. These incidents are often caused by vehicle drivers who simply aren’t paying enough attention. They fail to notice the presence of a cyclist on the road.
In such cases, the driver of the other vehicle may be completely to blame. Even if it’s decided that you, as the cyclist, are partly to blame for the accident, you may still be able to claim compensation. It’s important that you make the police aware of the incident at the earliest opportunity.
Faulty Bicycles
In a perfect world, all bicycles are built to a high standard. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. On some occasions, bicycle parts can fail, leading to accidents on the roads. In order to avoid such issues, it’s important that you should maintain your bicycle properly. You may find, however, that your bike fails despite your best efforts.
If you’re involved in an accident as a result of a failure that was caused by the bicycle manufacturer, then you may be able to make a claim. You may also be in a strong position to make a claim if a professional has carried out poor maintenance work on your bicycle.
Problems Caused By Animals
Dogs and other animals sometimes run out into the road. As a cyclist, you may find yourself having to take action to avoid them. This may result in an accident. It’s the responsibility of animal owners to keep their pets under control at all times.
If their failure to do so has led to an accident, then you may be able to make a claim for compensation against them.
As you can see, there are numerous causes of accidents and resulting injuries. In many cases, it’s possible to take legal action to ensure that you are fully compensated for injuries suffered.

Of course engineering is required for everything including the construction of bridges and manufacture of good quality two wheelers. In fact the bridges, more than any other manmade structures on earth, stand as the symbols of engineering and architecture. Bridges narrow down the gap between two countries.
While reviewing the pages of the history, it can be very well seen that an extraordinary array of fantastic bridges from the early historical age and of several architectural style, span the world. Nobody can forget about the world famous bridges like New York’s Brooklyn Bridge, Sydney’s Harbor Bridge and London’s tower bridge are becoming the icons for the whole cities. In fact there are different kinds of bridges.
For construction of bridges extreme equipments, stones, concrete and steel cables alone are not sufficient. They are the material resources and apart from the material resources, these super structures owe their conception and construction to the determination of mankind in overcoming the obstacles during the course of construction of the bridges.
In fact they typify man’s ability to make the seemingly impossible tasks possible. The bridges link cities; unite countries and symbolize man’s desire to span the universe. Bridges always continue to be the source of inspiration for people living throughout the world.
Definitely a motor cycle resembles in many respects like a bridge. More than the comforts, motorcycle parts accessories fitted to the vehicle play a great role for the effective functioning of the machine.
When it comes to the bridges, a suspension bridge consists of two large main cables which are suspended from two huge and high towers well secured to the banks at both ends and these types of bridges are found to be ideal for carrying heavy traffic across the wide stretches of water.
In fact compared to other kinds of bridges, these bridges are found to be very strong and on account of the facts as mentioned above, almost world’s longest bridges are suspension bridges. There are famous bridges across the globe namely; Golden gate bridge in California; Tower bridge in London; Millau Viaduct in France; Howrah bridge in Calcutta, India; London bridge in Arizona, USA; Brooklyn Bridge in New York, USA; Iron Bridge in Shropshire, England and Bridge of Sighs in Venice, Italy.
Like bridges bikes can speak Italian with a broad American accent and of course any ideal bike fitted with Polaris atv parts often plays a good role in producing good results when it comes to the superior performance of the machine.

Are you looking for dirt bikes for sale? If this is your first dirt bike then buying a used bike may just be the way to go. You can see if this is something you want to do on an ongoing basis or is it is just a passing phase without spending a great deal of money.
If this is your first dirt bike, or even if you have purchase used dirt bikes before, there are several things you should look for above and beyond the obvious. Obviously you should check any potential purchase over for broken, torn, bent, worn, ripped, scratched, cracks, fractures or loose parts on the bike. But there are five things you should look for in addition:
First, you need to check out the brakes. How worn are they? Are there worn spots where the brake pads touch the bike? Is the front brake line worn out or is it time for it to be replaced? These might not be deal breakers, but they will be expenses you will have to bear, so you at least would want concessions made in the price for these items.
Second off, you should look for leaks. Check the bike over carefully, most particularly on the front fork. Look at the fork seal and check for any runs of oil going down the forks.
Third, check the chassis number on the bike. If the chassis number is scratched and unreadable, the bike is most likely stolen and your don’t want to be a party to that.
Fourth, question the present owner about his or her maintenance schedule. How often was the oil changed and have there been any major repairs. If the seller is asking for a premium price because of major work done on the bike or because of a rebuild, ask for proof the work has been done. Copies of the work orders and receipts should be furnished with any dirt bike sale.
And Fifth, if you are able, take the bike for a test ride. You will be able to tell a great deal about the bike once you’ve ridden it. If you are an inexperienced rider, ask to have the bike inspected by a mechanic or some other professional. They will often be able to see and hear problems a less experienced rider would miss.
If you check for these five things when shopping for dirt bikes for sale, you’ll be sure to walk away a winner.

There is definitely an art to dirt bike jumping and the great thing for you if you’re not very good at it is that it can be learned. Like anything that requires skill to execute, it takes practice and even mistakes – which unfortunately in this sport can lead to injuries.
There are many different techniques to dirt bike jumping but I will only touch on some basic tips here.
Before you go hurling yourself over any jump you need to know what is on the other side. This may sound stupid but ask most riders and they will tell you they’ve done this at least once where they’ve crashed as a result of not checking out the landing. Ride around it or even walk over the jump first. You can do a couple of practice lead-ups without actually jumping to get an idea for speed and to build your confidence. Start off small and build up to larger jumps as you improve and master each size jump. Keep your body centralized over the bike with your head over the handlebars if the up-ramp is quite steep. Approach the jump at a steady speed. It’s better to give it a little acceleration while hitting the ramp but nothing too aggressive. You definitely don’t want to back off the throttle while launching up the ramp. This will send you over the bars. As you begin jumping higher learn to pull the clutch in and tap the rear brake to balance the bike out in the air. This will pull the front wheel down. Likewise if you rev the bike up and spin the rear wheel around really fast, this will lift the front end up. Learning how to do this properly will give you great control over your bike. Accelerate just before your rear wheel touches down. This will drive you safely out of the landing in a forward direction and it also stiffens up the suspension making for a more forgiving landing especially when going big.
When you’re at a track observe the good riders and don’t be afraid to ask them for pointers. Most of them will be stoked that you’re asking them for their advice. Jumping a dirt bike is an amazing feeling but it can also go horribly wrong! Progress at your own pace and build up your confidence jump by jump. If you push it too hard too quickly chances are you’ll take a nasty fall and dent your confidence which will only slow you down or stop you all together.
Oh yea.. and have fun!

Your first motocross race is always the scariest. There is so much nerve and adrenaline that you don’t feel like yourself. So much, in fact, that you may feel like not racing that day. DON”T listen to that voice! You won’t regret racing, as long as you know what you’re doing and don’t go in over your head.
The best way to start out the day of your first race is to get to the track early. Not much is more frustrating that arriving late to the races and having to scramble to get ready, ESPECIALLY for you first motocross race. Before unloading everything, go up to registration and pay for your class of racing (make sure you have a membership if required for that track). Next thing to do is go and walk that track. Even if you rode the track the day before, things may have changed, or there may be a better line that you didn’t see before.
After walking the track, go back and unload your dirt bike and gear if you haven’t already. Hopefully you remembered to pack all of your gear. Then go over your bike and make sure everything is snug and ready to go. Remember to put gas in the tank!!! I know it may sound dumb, but it’s a mistake that many riders make.
About 20 minutes before practice starts, stretch out and hydrate with water, Gatorade, or something similar. NO ENERGY DRINKS!! Then get your gear on and roll/ride your bike over to the starting gate a few minutes early. Practice sessions are usually separated by classes A/B, C/Vet, Womens, 85cc/Supermini/65cc/50cc, so make sure you go out with your class. Start and warm your bike up before you go out on the track to help prevent engine failures.
After practice, come back to your pit and re-hydrate. Then check your bike over again and adjust anything that needs it. Re-fuel if you need it so that you won’t forget about it later.
After all the practices are over most tracks have a race meeting. Go to this so that you aren’t confused. They will tell you any specific rules, tips, how things work (starting gate), how many laps, etc. After the meeting go get a race order if you haven’t already. This will show when your class is up to race so that you can prepare for it in time.
Okay, now the races started and the adrenaline is probably starting to pour on even more. Stay strong and keep loose (stretch out, walk around, but don’t sit and tighten up). About Four classes before yours, you should start to get ready. Hydrate again, go to the bathroom, get your gear on, and make sure you bike is ready to go. By the time your class will probably be 2 motos away. Roll your dirt bike up to the starting gate and stay calm. They will probably pick riders by random for their gate position, so don’t be late.
One moto away…. Your heart is pounding…. You can barely breathe. It’ll be okay. Just roll your bike up to the gate you choose and make sure it’s straight in the groove. By now you probably should have your bike running so that it will be warmed up and ready to go when the gate drops.
The 30-second board is up. Keep breathing, shift your bike into gear (usually first or second), and get up on the tank. Once that board goes sideways look down at the gate because there’s less than five seconds. Once the gate drops the BS stops, so I can’t really help you from there.
Hopefully the first moto turned out okay and you’re still intact. You’ll probably be dehydrated so go and drink a bunch of liquids. Once again, no energy drinks! After that, it’s just rinse and repeat. Just make sure you and your bike are ready to go for moto two. Your gate pick will be determined by the result of first moto, so if you were at the end of the pack then you’ll have last gate pick.
Don’t be discouraged if you came in last place. Even if you did, I’m sure you still had a blast, because I know I did on my first race. If you didn’t have fun, then you better go to the doctor because there’s something wrong with you….
Hopefully this gives you a good perspective of your first day of racing. If you have any questions just let us know by commenting or emailing.
Ride safe, and have fun!

Anyone who is young and hot blooded will be naturally attracted to the dangerous world of biking. The newest rage these days is doing motocross racing with some awesome motocross accessories. This is one of the greatest attractions for people who are bike enthusiasts. A lot of the bikers are not exactly professional but they still try and do the same thing on streets. Street biking races often try and emulate the motocross bike races which are so popular all over the world.
There are different kinds of accessories that you can get if you want to do motocross racing professionally or even if you just want to support it. Here are some of those:
Stickers Motocross gear Motocross goggles Caps Belts Gloves
All these are very easily available in the market today and so any bike enthusiast can get hold of them. The point is, those who are doing motocross racing professionally should buy the gear because they need it. On the other hand, if you are just supporting it and love watching the sport, then you could buy the different kinds of accessories that you get along with the motocross gear. You can always get a jacket or even a motocross cap for yourself.
The most important gear for motocross:
There are many types of motocross gear that you should have if you are planning to do motocross racing as a profession. Biking can often be a really dangerous profession. People get hurt and often die in disastrous accidents. This is why you need to protect yourself with all the required gear that you can get.
The most important gear that you will need while doing motocross racing, is the helmet. This is something that you cannot afford to ignore. Many a biker has lost his life because of head injuries. Whenever you are buying a motocross helmet make sure that you are getting it from a proper store which keeps registered brands. Do not buy helmets from an unknown brand. They can often turn out to be fake or of poor quality.
There is no point in buying the helmet if it cannot protect your head when required to. The next up are the gloves. You will need good gloves because of the grip. If you cannot grip the handle bars properly the bike might just go out of control. For this you will need to invest in a pair of good quality gloves which will give your hands the adequate amount of grip. Pay a little bit of extra money and buy silicon gloves which are great for safety.
Other than these, you can always spice up the look of your bike by using handlebars and mounts. You can also get these really cool stickers. Whatever you are doing, make sure that you are safe.

Motocross is one such form of motor sports that uses motorcycles. It is also called all-terrain vehicle racing and it takes place in closed off- road circuits specially designed for this type of racing. The motor bikes used in such races are called dirt bikes. They are different from normal sport bikes and road bikes because they are designed in such a way so that they can handle the rough and uneven terrain they are supposed to be ridden on.
There are many companies who manufacture various types of dirt bikes. They cater to the needs of various riders ranging from kids, new riders and professional riders. One such manufacturer is KTM.
KTM released a bike called the 50 SX also known as the KTM 50 senior adventure. This bike was upgraded and re-released in 2008 and has been in production ever since. This bike is aimed at kids who are into dirt biking. This bike may be small in size and might not look serious but improper or inexperienced usage might prove to be dangerous. Thus, it is supposed to be used by kids who have prior riding experience not by the ones who are new comers in the riding arena. It is not so small so as to take the fun out of it and it is also not very large rendering it very tough to handle for kids. It is aptly sized for kids between the age of 6 to 10.
The KTM 50 Senior Adventure is not a kid’s plaything. It is technologically a very advanced bike which uses industry standard fittings which makes this bike a very safe one for use by kids, be it riding for fun or competitive racing. This bike can be given to a child if he is interested in going ahead with riding in the future because it will give the child a professional look and feel while he rides it.
Apart from good looks, the KTM 50 Senior Adventure is a very comfortable bike because it uses a padded seat which can be adjusted according to the rider’s choice. It uses central double cradle-type frame for the chassis. It also packs quite a punch in the single cylinder, 2-stroke, air-cooled 49cc engine that it uses to power the bike. The output is approximately 6 HP(Horse power). It uses chain drive system to transfer the power from the engine to the rear tire. It uses an automatic gearbox for transmission which makes it easy for kids to ride it and learn how to control a bike in the earlier stages of riding. It has conventional drum brakes on the rear and a single disc brake assembly in the front for better control and handling. The bike weighs around 38.4(dry) and can hold 2 liters of fuel. The rear suspension uses a mono shock setup for improved agility and stability.
This bike can be bought from a KTM showroom near you or you can look for one online that suits your needs. This would definitely be your kid’s prized possession if you are planning to give him one.
