GT Bike Manufacturers
No Comments
It is undeniable that GT bikes are one of the most famous bikes in the world today. The GT bikes manufacturers were from a company called the GT Bicycles. They are widely known for being the biggest producers of mountain, road and BMX bikes. Gary Turner and Richard Long were the founders of the company that made its first appearance in the market in 1979. In 1998, they merged with Schwinn but when 2001 came, they went bankrupt so they turned to the Pacific Cycle, which was acquired by the Dorel Industries in 2004.
The mountain bikes from GT are easily distinguished because of their triple triangle frame style, which is common among the hard tail bikes. This type of bike has been referred to as inimitable. The early BMX bikes also had innovative designs that were premeditated to reduce the vibration as the rider goes for maximum performance. The later versions had been given the “GT” initials on the protruding tubes.
There are different models that made the GT bikes manufacturers even more famous. Among the BMX varieties that were warmly accepted by the public are the Show, Interceptor, Air, Bump, Slammer and Encore. They also produced top-quality mountain and road bikes including RAVE, RAGE, Force, Sanction, Marathon and Rebound. There are also track bikes that have been released.
Since these bikes are extremely popular, the company decided to form their teams that will compete in different cycling events. Their BMX Race Team is comprised of five riders while the Mountain team has eight members. Because of their famed status, the GT bikes manufacturers were able to reach many countries including US, Belgium, Canada, Japan and Norway.
