How to Barspin on a BMX Bike
No Comments
The barspin is a very difficult trick to learn, but once you learn them they are fun and easy. I’m going to show you how to get them on a BMX Bike.
You have to decide whether you want to learn them flat (bunny hop barspin) or out of a slope, bank or fly-out. They are pretty much the same, the only difference is your pulling up your front more in a bunny hop barspin. Okay lets get to it. First off you need to be comfortable with the bunny hop if your doing it on flat and you also need to be comfortable with the fly-out, or slope if your trying it that way. Now I’m going to explain it as your coming out of a fly-out just to make it easier. It is almost the same as a bunny hop barspin.
You need to be going out of the lip at a average speed not to fast and not to slow. Once you get out of the lip, your going to lean back a little bit while pinching your seat (and or knees together), as your doing that you need to throw the bars, and land smooth. Barspins should be one full motion not parts of the trick. This is a trick that you won’t learn in one day, so you need to practice as much as you can. Once you get them good, try 180 barspins and truck drivers (360 barspins).
Extra tips:
When you get to the point of leaning back, you do not want to lean back too far as this will result in the bike going out from under you. You also need to lean a little forward but not to the point that you will be hitting your knees when you throw the bars.
Practice, practice, and practice.
